If you love art, this is for you

EVERYONE’S AN ARTIST

Paint your way to fabulous!

“I’m not good at painting and can’t even draw a straight line. I’m just not artistic.”

Let me take you step-by-step as we paint together, and have fun! You’ll be pleasantly surprised with what you can achieve!

“Painting is complex and messy!”

I’ll simplify it for you, freeing you to enjoy the experience.

“I want to try painting but am not sure where to start.”

My guidance will give you the skills and confidence to experience the joy of painting.

Let’s have a paint party!

Paint parties remove the complexity of creating a painting, and turn the experience into something fun and rewarding.

SEE ATTENDEES’ EXPERIENCES AND WHAT THEY SAY

Ready for a creative and artistic experience with simplicity and fun?

What is a paint party?

Paint parties are fun, step-by-step painting sessions. All you have to do is show up, paint, and have fun! You’ll go home with a completed painting. In my sessions, you’ll learn real painting techniques to create beautiful paintings.

The normal duration of a paint party is about one and a half to two hours. It’s all about enjoying the process of creating your own masterpiece.

All sessions include the provision of customized canvases, supplies, and instructions.

We also offer the opportunity to host private events for celebrations and team building activities. A private session can be hosted as a casual get together, or as a “playdate” for an art jam with your friends, in the comfort of your own home. Private event paintings are customized, and tailored to the occasions and guests attending.

Contact us anytime for more information or to book your creative experience.

Story

Empowering participants with a can do attitude and the confidence to innovate.

Art Party began with the goal of exposing both children and adults to the enjoyment of creating art, by guiding their creation of beautiful and fun paintings, all while having a good time. Encouraging fun, while developing confidence and a sense of accomplishment, are our goals for all children and adults who join us. And don’t worry, you don’t need any prior painting experience to participate. You’ll receive ideas, techniques, and suggestions to make your painting process interesting and fun.

Painting is an activity that is beneficial in many aspects of life. It requires skills such as planning, strategizing, improvising, and above all, discipline, in order to complete a painting. These skills are all relevant and essential in our daily lives. Further, painting provides many benefits to our health and well-being. It reduces stress, improves focus and attention, and promotes an optimistic attitude. Painting is also often regarded as a higher art form since it requires more advanced skills to be proficient (in relation to drawing as an example).

How do we do this?

You’ll approach the painting process with a hands-on style, while you create your own masterpiece, through the “learn by doing” approach. As you create fun art, you’ll also express your uniqueness and creativity in the process.

Impact

You’ll get to develop your creative side, all while having fun. Painting helps us to enhance our problem-solving skills, stimulate our imagination, and increase our well-being.

You’re never too young or too old to start painting. So why not start now?

“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” - Albert Einstein

Purpose

Helping people enjoy creating art. Painting stimulates our creative and innovative thinking, and we love making these advantages accessible to all.

Values

Learn. Create. Inspire.

About Us

Hi everyone! My name is Jocelyn. I love painting and so does my daughter, Sarah. I also enjoy simplifying complex processes. This is why we offer paint parties, to remove the complexity, and turn the experience into something fun and rewarding.

A bit about myself - I enjoy playing tennis, running, travelling, and dining out. Originally, I’m from Malaysia, and I was very fortunate to have lived and worked in Germany, New Zealand, and Malaysia before making Toronto home. I speak English, German, Hokkien (a Chinese dialect), and Malay.

My goals for you are to enjoy the process of creating, to have some “me time” by taking a break for yourself, and to allow yourself to experience the benefits of being creative.

I attended painting classes every Sunday during my secondary school years in Malaysia. I also participated in painting competitions, and was at the top of the class. I remember why I loved going back to classes every Sunday - I was able to see and hold the results in my hands each time I finished the class! I clearly recall the positive feeling associated with my completed paintings, and it kept me going back. Now as an adult, I appreciate and enjoy viewing paintings of all types.

If you’re looking for something that’s not offered on my website, or a collab opportunity, please feel free to contact me. Also, if you have ideas to share, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Sarah, my daughter

I’ve been teaching my daughter how to paint since she was three years old. What we love most is the fact that each painting tells its own unique story!
